In my fifties, I got the urge to try and find out where my mother originated from her family and all the intricacies that led her to where she was. I was in a kind of midlife crisis, and at that moment in life had the time to spend on this research to quench my thirst to learn of my maternal antecedents. Oh! I knew of her sisters, their families and I even had an opportunity to meet Grandma at an age when I would be able to remember her.
So, as I said Where Do I Begin?
I think I should begin from when I know James Rigby came to Madras(now Chennai), India on a ship, from England as a Farrier Major and an employee of the East India company.
